Each of us has the potential to impact
a person, a community.
WHEN CHILDREN THRIVE, COMMUNITIES THRIVE.
Who We Are
Kirabo Africa Foundation, Inc., was founded in August 2020 by Tammi Murray with the support of her three daughters. Tammi has been involved in small-scale development work in Uganda for 11 years, both as the head of a parish ministry and as an individual. Tammi’s daughters have been involved in nearly every aspect of her parish ministry work as well as her personal projects.
In the wake of the COVID‑19 pandemic, Tammi was laid off from her long-time position as a legal secretary, stepped down from her role in sister parish ministry, returned to school, and began pursuing work in the non-profit sector. With a continued passion and commitment to the people of Uganda, Tammi took a leap of faith and started Kirabo Africa Foundation to enable her to expand the small-scale development work that she was already doing with the support of family and friends and set her sights on ways that she could do even more.
Kirabo Africa Foundation believes that working together is the key to overcoming many of the challenges faced by people in East Africa. Kirabo Africa Foundation partners with four community-based organizations and a health centre in Uganda, with several other organizations and clinics desiring partnership.
